YMCA Bath Group is looking for a dynamic fitness consultant to join their team in the Health and Wellbeing Centre.
To carry out fitness assessments and deliver fitness programmes to members.
Making new and existing members comfortable and welcomed into the centre.
To conduct regular gym inductions, including ensuring new members understand the health and safety issues of use of all fitness equipment.
To undertake fitness assessments and develop programmes to suit individual’s fitness requirements, whilst being fully conversant and skilled at motivational lifestyle counselling and to encourage members to adhere to their exercise/lifestyle programmes.
Understand the importance of retention of members and marketing the centre positively.
To supervise on a rota basis the fitness areas, including ensuring that all members are using the equipment in a safe manner.
Must be a team player with a positive can do attitude.
40 hours per week on a rota basis over 7 days per week, between the hours of 6.30 am – 10.00 pm (Monday to Friday) and 7.00 am – 6.00 pm (weekends).
£16,500 – £19,465.21 per annum dependent on qualifications and experience
Level 3 in fitness required with at least 2 years’ experience.

Salary: £13,611 per year (£20, 416.15 FTE)
Part-time: 25 hours per week on average shifts (included evenings and week-ends).
We are looking for an excellent a support worker to meet the needs of unaccompanied young people who arrived in the UK without a parent or a guardian, many of whom are suffering from a number of complex issues including social isolation and alienation, trauma, lack of self –confidence and low self-esteem.
We want you to support young people, focusing on building life skills and promoting personal and social development in order to achieve the four project outcomes:
- Young asylum seekers to develop and improve support network, to gain new skills and friendship in the community.
- Reduced sense of isolation and alienation for young asylum seekers in Frome and improved integration into the British society.
- Young asylum seekers have better access to social, leisure and volunteering opportunities achieving a better degree of integration in the community.
- Young asylum seekers have an increased confidence and self-esteem enabling them to reach to reach their full potential.
