The YMCA Mansion House is in the heart of Corsham, and situated in the grounds of St Patrick’s school. We relocated here from the Old Mansion House on Pickwick road and there has been a Mansion House Preschool for over 40 years in Corsham. We have a good reputation in our community and a strong partnership with the adjacent school.
We have a beautiful, purpose-built bungalow with two rooms and a large outdoor space with a large sand pit, water play tray, and wonderful mud kitchen. The outdoor area is also ideal for riding bikes, den building and has a very popular digging area. The children have a garden shed which is used for a variety of activities from extended role play, to a quiet retreat for story telling. The outdoor area is ideal for the children to develop independent play and creative thinking.
The garden has two astro turf areas so that the children can access the garden even on the most muddy of days. We hold regular In2Sports sessions on a Wednesday and the children love these sessions when outside specialists come in to lead sports. We are just across the road from Corsham Court Park and this is used regularly to extend activities, go exploring or going on a bear hunt!
8am – 4pm Mon – Fri, closed bank holidays.

Daisy Room – 2-3-year-old room
The Daisies are based the Conservatory, they have their own entrance and the two regular staff members practice in the room every morning providing continuity and familiar faces for the children. The room can take 8 two-year olds. Debbie is the Lead Practitioner and leads exciting, creative play based activities for the children to enjoy. The children enjoy learning to socialise and explore their environment through opportunities which their keyperson has planned which will stimulate their interests and encourage them to become independent learners. Children and parents have induction sessions where parents can plan how to settle their child into sessions. The staff are happy for parent to stay if this makes a smooth transition into preschool sessions. Again, parents and children have induction sessions where they get to know their key person, they have their picture taken for their coat hook and these are used to identify their own drawer in which they place their creations for the day.
