We became part of the YMCA Bath Group in January 2018, having previously been run by a parent committee for a number of years.
Our rural preschool utilises extensive gardens and a beautiful locality to deliver a full early years curriculum both indoors and out! Our qualified and enthusiastic staff will develop your child’s love of learning in the environment that suits them best!
At YMCA Bratton we strive to offer top quality childcare in a family atmosphere where children aged between 2-5 years old are exposed to positive role models and learn from our mixed age group.
We are nestling in a village at the base of Salisbury Plain, we occupy the Church Institute in the heart of the community. Not only do we have a spacious hall for indoor activities, we also benefit from a large grassy garden and patio for outdoor play and learning. Through a mixture of free-play and fun adult-led activities, we enable our children to develop the skills necessary to become independent learners. We are proud to work at a very high level and for this to be recognised previously by Ofsted.
All children aged 3 and 4 are eligible to receive 15 hours free early education each week. We also offer 30 free for working parents who are eligible for the new offer. Please ask us about how to access this offer.
Working parents are eligible for an additional 15 hours free early education per week. This takes the total to 30 hours a week for 38 weeks a year. To check if you are eligible please check the Council web site below. At some of our nurseries we are able to spread this offer across the year and offer 22 hours for the 51 weeks.
Eligible two year olds can access 15 hours free and parents can check whether their child is eligible by looking on the Wiltshire Council web site. www.wiltshire.gov.uk
We take a range of childcare voucher schemes, and recommend that you visit the Childcare Choices website to see which scheme will help you best with your childcare fees. https://childcarechoices.gov.uk
